PENDLETON, OR– Critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior in and around the Columbia Gorge moving East and through Central Oregon. The Red flag warning is in effect from Noon Today to 11 PM Thursday. From the National weather Service reporting station in Medford, A Red Flag warning stays in effect until 8PM tonight for the Bootleg Fire weather zone around the Klamath Basin and the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Extreme fire behavior is possible because of gusty winds and low humidity.
