Razor Clamming Shut Down On The Coast
The Oregon Department of Agriculture and the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife have announced the entire coast of Oregon is now closed for shellfish harvesting.
As of right now you can’t dig for razor clams. It’s all due to elevated levels of the marine biotoxin – domoic (DOH-MOE-ICK) acid.
Mussel harvesting is also closed for elevated levels of paralytic shellfish toxin in some areas.
