Today is Election Day, and voters in Oregon and Washington have until 8 p.m. to drop their ballots at official ballot drop boxes. Ballots sent by mail must be postmarked by today to be counted.

Washington voters are deciding on a new governor for the first time in 12 years, as Gov. Jay Inslee completes his third term. They’ll also vote for a new attorney general, a new commissioner of public lands, and as many as five new members of Congress. The ballot includes four statewide initiatives, including a measure that would repeal the state’s Climate Commitment Act.

In Oregon, voters are weighing in on several key statewide races, including contests for attorney general, secretary of state, and U.S. House seats. Oregonians are also voting on five ballot measures, one of which proposes adopting ranked-choice voting in the state.

Polls close at 8 p.m. in both states.
