BRRRRRR….Record Cold in Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – The city of Spokane has set a record for the coldest October in its history.
The National Weather Service says the average temperature this October was 42.3 degrees, breaking the record of 42.8 degrees set in October of 1905.
KREM-TV reported that records have been kept since 1881.
Spokane’s average high temperature in October is typically about 58 degrees, but this year the average high stood at 51.3 degrees.
The Weather Service says the cities of Wenatchee and Ephrata in Washington also set a record for coldest October.
