(Washington, DC) — More than 15-hundred active duty soldiers may soon be headed to the southern border. The Biden administration is looked at ways to address concerns about a surge of illegal immigration next week. A public health rule called Title-42, which has been used to expedite deportations, is set to expire on May 11th. And there are reports that tens of thousands of asylum-seekers are lining up Mexico for what they feel is their best change to cross and stay in the United States. The Army units would not be patrolling the line. Instead, they would serve in administrative roles and help transport illegal immigrants after they’re caught and processed.
