Murder-Suicide In Dundee Rocks Town

At 4:45pm on July 4th 2012 officers of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department were requested to perform a welfare check at a residence located on Charles Street in Dundee Oregon.  The caller was alarmed because of a social media post.

 Officers responded to the location and entered the residence.  Once inside they found four people deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Investigators say it appears to be a murder suicide. The deceased include Randall Engels, 37, Amy Engels 35, and their children.

Members of the Yamhill County Major Crimes Team were called out to investigate the scene.  Investigators say there is no outstanding threat to the community.  The Newberg-Dundee Police Department has notified the School District in an effort to help students deal with this tragedy.
