Residents Escape SE Portland House Fire

A blaze early this morning at a two-story house on Southeast Harney Drive near Flavel Drive started in a bedroom.  One roommate alerted the others and suffered minor burns.

Three people escaped to safety, including one person in a wheelchair.  Firefighters confirmed that on scene after getting reports that someone may have been trapped inside.

Crews knocked down the flames and made sure it didn't spread any further.  An investigator is working to find the cause.
